Pastor Boyd A. Bullock, Sr. is a native of Petersburg, Virginia. He completed studies at Norfolk State University in Music Media and Virginia State University in Music Education as well as holds a B. A. degree in Biblical Studies from Triune Biblical University -Kelso, Washington.
In 1992, he married his partner for life, Pastor Camillie D. Bullock. They have seven wonderful children. The Bullock Power Duo have been in ministry for 15 years. Pastor Boyd began serving as pastor from the tender age of 24 and later, with his wife founded Haven of Hope Covenant Church in the year 2000. The church began with 10 members from the homeless community in Roanoke, VA. Haven of Hope Covenant Church has since developed into a flourishing contemporary Word of Faith church with a vibrant multicultural membership.
“The Haven” is noted for its fresh authentic music, multiple outreaches, signature events, and ministry departments that effectively communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Inevitably, the needs of the whole man – spirit, mind and body are met in a new way.
The insight and revelation that Pastor Bullock has in the Word of God enables him to teach with clarity, creativity, humor and a phenomenal anointing. His ministry has afforded him the opportunity to preach and sing on three continents where a number of lives were changed forever!
Pastors Boyd’s and Camillie’s spiritual parents are Tony and Cynthia Brazelton of Victory Christian Ministries International Suitland, Maryland. Under this anointed covering, God opened doors of promise to allow His body to be blessed by this prolific and gifted psalmist, songwriter and musician.
Pastor Bullock is a requested preacher/teacher and psalmist for church conferences throughout the United States and internationally. He is known for his sound of celebration and unique ability to lead the people of God into the presence of God setting the atmosphere for a life changing encounter. He is a worshiper!
His highly anticipated first worship CD entitled “I Worship You” was released in May of 2009. The preliminary CD was released in 2007 and the response was magnificent.
The command and promise given of the Lord to Pastors Boyd and Camillie Bullock in 1992 to “reach the world through preaching and singing” is being fulfilled; for God is not a man that He should lie.
